I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and drawing from the School of Visual Arts in N.Y.C., and later a post baccalaureate in art education. I have also studied at the Art Students League, Parsons School of Design, The New School, and the San Francisco Art Institute.
My fascination with, and love for my own pets and all animals has been an intense interest in my life.
As a young girl in love with horses, I was constantly drawing them. Later, I drew my pets and all forms of wildlife. At art school, it was the human sort of animal on which I concentrated, with years of life drawing.
I have always felt a special love and connection to animals and it is a great pleasure to express that love through my artwork and share it with many pet owners.
Animals are my passion. So along with creating pet portraits, I also care for small dogs on a daily or overnight basis in my home in Morristown, Vermont. I offer safe, loving care in a lovely home environment.
